Back again, and this time I have a lot of catching up to do, with only a few pictures to show for it!
A few weeks ago my order from the commercial lasercutter Snijlab came in the mail, along with some other things I had been waiting for (im)patiently. As you can imagine, all things not one inch scale were put on hold and our kitchentable became a cluttered mess of minis once again.
I also forgot to make decent photos at almost every step, so my sincerest apologies for any missing process pictures! I blame it all on my excitement.

How it all came in. Securely wrapped and taped. I would like to thank my boyfriend, who calmly put up with my excited squealing when the postman brought this.
I found out this Copic marker stained the MDF wood in exactly the same shade as the laserburned edges, so quickly decided I would stain all the furniture parts this way. It was fast, and cheap, considering I already had the marker.
From these parts I made a very simple modern clock,
Which you can see here. I don't have a final picture for you yet, but it will come soon!
For now I leave you with these pictures:
The credenza was the largest lasercutter project, and I'm very happy with how it turned out! A few miscalculations here and there, but fortunately the thin MDF was easy to trim and fix.
And this is my favorite new scene. The desk is a lasercutter project, the chair is 3D printed, and painted with acrylics, the headphones and plants you'll recognize from a previous post, the rest is bought from various places.
I will take pretty pictures of everything else very soon, but for now I can only say that I'm very happy with my first time lasercutter projects. Designing every part without knowing exactly how the material would look like and such, I'm surprised at how little mistakes I made. Certainly worth considering for next time projects!
Thanks for stopping by, and I can't wait to show you the finished room!
